Le Méridien Dehradun Resort & Spa: A Himalayan Wedding Guide

If your dream wedding involves crisp mountain air, the Shivalik hills on the horizon and photographs that look effortlessly cinematic, Le Méridien Dehradun Resort & Spa deserves a place at the top of your list. A newly opened luxury property under the Marriott Bonvoy family, it pairs refined, European-inspired interiors with the calm of the Uttarakhand foothills — and it has quickly become one of the most exciting destination-wedding addresses in the region.

Here's our complete planning guide to celebrating here.

A Setting in the Foothills

The resort sits along Santla Devi Mandir Marg, cradled by the Shivalik hills and bordered by a gently flowing river — secluded enough to feel like an escape, yet easy to reach. It's roughly 11 km (about half an hour) from Dehradun Railway Station and around 37 km (about an hour) from Jolly Grant Airport. Guests can also slip away to nearby landmarks like the Forest Research Institute, Tapkeshwar Temple, Robber's Cave, or take the short drive up to Mussoorie.

The Best Time to Marry Here

October to February — peak season

Crisp, sunny days and cool mountain evenings make this the most sought-after window. Rates are at their highest, but the weather and views are unbeatable.

March to May — shoulder season

Warm, breezy and green, with gentler pricing — lovely for daytime outdoor ceremonies on the lawns.

June to September — monsoon

The hills turn lush and dramatic. Outdoor functions need a backup plan, but the pillarless indoor ballroom is stunning with the rain-washed greenery just outside.

The Venues & Spaces

With more than 23,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space, the resort can host every function — from Haldi to Reception — in one place. The key spaces:

Stay & Suites

The resort offers 104 well-appointed rooms and suites with mountain or pool views, plush bedding, large LED TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi and select balconies. Deluxe, Executive and Presidential Suites give the couple and close family extra privacy and space during the wedding days — comfortably enough rooms on-property for an in-house celebration of around 200 guests.

Dining

What It Costs (Ballpark)

As a realistic starting point, a roughly 200-guest celebration over two nights — on a full room block, with food and beverage — begins around ₹1 crore. Rooms run approximately ₹25,000 per night in season, and food & beverage around ₹12,000 per guest per day. Treat these as baselines; the final package shifts with the season, the number of functions and how much you customise.
